MOUD

The town of Moud is located south of Masad and south of Birdjan. Moud rugs often have a Herati design, with or without a centrally mounted pendant. They are sometimes divided into Moud Machi and Moud Garden. Machi often has a beige color with a light red or blue tinge and a star-shaped pendant. The Garden is reminiscent of Bakhtiar rugs and is depicted with a curved garden pattern. Weavers use double wefts and the build quality is often good. Two types of silk are used to enhance the shine of the pile. Other rugs from this area are Birjand and Kashmar.
