HERIZ

The city of Heriz is located in northwestern Iran, not far from the largest city of Tabriz. In the city and its surroundings, carpets are made with a pattern that is easily recognizable. In the center there is a large rectangular pendant with large sections in the corners. The large rugs are made mainly of quite difficult yarns in cotton warp with a rustic design. Heriz carpets, have high quality wool are known for their durability and are very suitable for hallways and dining rooms. Large sizes, from 300 × 200 cm and up are more common. Similar carpets are Georavan and Mehravan. Heriz rugs are suitable for both residential and public spaces.
